DYPROCS is searching a Ship Engineer for a USA based employer to join the company as a full-time permanent employee and relocate at the employer's location to the U.S.A.
The ideal candidate will be responsible
for supervising and coordinating activities of crew engaged in operating and
maintaining engines, boilers, deck machinery, and electrical, sanitary, and
refrigeration equipment aboard ship. This
position requires clear communication internally and externally, strong
organizational skills, resiliency, and a solution focused mindset!
Responsibilities:

Oversee and
maintain shipboard machinery, including propulsion, electrical, hydraulic, and
auxiliary systems.
·
Conduct
regular inspections and performance tests to ensure optimal operation of all
equipment.
·
Troubleshoot
and repair mechanical and electrical issues as they arise.
·
Collaborate
with the Chief Engineer to develop maintenance schedules and keep accurate
records of repairs and inspections.
·
Ensure
compliance with safety and environmental regulations, including the proper
handling of hazardous materials.
·
Assist in
crew training on equipment operation and safety protocols.
·
Participate
in emergency drills and ensure readiness of equipment for various emergency
scenarios.
·
Maintain
inventory of spare parts and tools, coordinating procurement as needed.
Proficiency &
Skills:
·
Must have 3+ years of strong work experience
in marine engineering, preferably on commercial
vessels.
·
Must have valid
marine engineering license (e.g., 2nd Engineer or equivalent).
·
Strong
understanding of marine systems, machinery, and safety protocols.
·
Ability to
work in confined spaces and at heights.
·
Willingness
to work in various weather conditions and on a rotational schedule.
·
Mechanical
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and
maintenance.
·
Administration
and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in
strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership
technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
·
Engineering
and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science
and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and
equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

Transportation
- Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail,
sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
·
Mathematics
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their
applications.

Public
Safety and Security - Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures,
and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security
operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.

leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to

Education:
·
Bachelor’s
degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
